my passion is the documentation of a moment. capturing that mood, that smile, that sky, the instant before it changes; never to be  seen again in the same context. growing up in wyoming, i found beauty in the expansive and daunting sky, the wastes of open prairies edged by distant, rugged mountains as well as the frail  but exuberant birth of a late winter calf. constantly on the lookout for unusual details or colors or expressions as a child, i still find myself experiencing great joy in those fleeting images. my photography is more about feeling  than about technically correct posing, settings, or studio props.
